Buda is a rapidly growing bedroom community in Hays County outside of Austin, Texas. Buda has become an exceedingly popular destination for young families and professionals

The tight-knit community spirit of small town Buda still remains and is celebrated in events like the Weiner dog races which are organized in April every year by the Lions Club. The community still gathers every Friday night as well to watch high school football and support their young citizens.
Buda is a community on the rise that is eager to take advantage of new business opportunities. In 2009, Buda got in on the film industry boom in central Texas. Following in the steps of communities like Pflugerville where Friday Night Lights is filmed, Buda became a part of the Film Friendly Texas Program in hopes of bringing new productions to the city. Buda is also home to several large employers including US Foodservice, Namasco Steel and Capitol Excavation.
